Running Hare
Steel, stainless steel, found objects. 2015. Client: The City of Kingman, AZ.
Installed along historic Route 66, the anthropomorphic hare is an idealized image of speed and travel. Representing a local inhabitant of the desert, he is a symbol of ambition, energy, and virtue. The sculpture stands 12 feet tall. I sourced all the metal from a local scrapyard in Kingman.
